At this
time, therefore, we consider that the method incurring the lowest cost,
and the most overall satisfaction, is the tried and trusted Postal Order.
By this
means, YOU are covered against identity theft, and WE are covered against
costly fraudulent payment attempts.
The
Royal Mail have now streamlined the Postal Order into something more akin
to a banker's draft, and the precise amount is printed on the order at the
time of purchase.
Currently
(2008), a postal order for £9.99 incurs a purchase cost of £0.87
... a small price to pay for security, and we can generally turn around
your order within ten working days.
You can,
of course, send us a cheque, but it can often take up to seven calendar
days just to process them.
If you
are happy to wait, then we are happy to accept cheques, provided that they
are made out in Pounds Sterling, and drawn against an on-shore English Bank.
Once we are happy with the
security of a credit card system, we will incorporate it,
but most likely only via telephone
or facsimile to minimise the risk of identity theft.
Rest
assured that, if anyone comes up with another risk-free, quick,
and
sensibly priced system for distance payment ... we will be there!!
